Arizona State Council Knights of Columbus - Fraternal Year 2023-2024
Arizona State Council Knights of Columbus - Fraternal Year 2023-2024
For the 2022-2023 fraternal year the Supreme Council is offering a variety of incentives for jurisdictions, district deputies and grand knights. Jurisdictions will be eligible to earn cash by getting off to a fast start in membership intake. They will also compete against one another for the opportunity to earn reductions to their Circle of Honor intake goal, and prime seating at the 2023 Supreme Convention. District deputies will be able to select from a catalog of promotional and apparel items on the KnightsGear site by achieving their goals.
FIRST QUARTER (JULY 1 – SEPTEMBER 30)
To encourage jurisdictions to get off to a fast start, the Supreme Council will offer jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada $7 per new member recruited between July 1 and September 30.
In addition to the financial incentive, jurisdictions will participate in an eight-team, bracket-based intake-based incentive where they will compete for the opportunity to earn reductions to their Circle of Honor Intake goal. In July, jurisdictions on the four winning teams will receive a 1% goal reduction and advance to the Winner’s Bracket. The four losing teams will advance to the consolation bracket.
During August, jurisdictions on the winning teams in the Winner’s Bracket will receive a 2% goal reduction, while jurisdictions on the losing teams in the Winner’s Bracket will receive a 1% goal reduction. For the consolation bracket in August, the jurisdictions on the winning teams will receive a 1% goal reduction.
During September, the two August winners in the Winner’s Bracket will compete in the Championship game, and the losers will compete in the consolation game. The winner of the Championship Game will receive a 3% goal reduction and will be declared Q1 Champion, while the loser will receive a 2% reduction and be declared the Q1 runner-up. The winner of the consolation game will receive 2% reduction and the loser will receive a 1% reduction.
The daily Circle of Honor will be the “Book of Record” for this and all incentives for jurisdictions. Team scores are based the aggregate total of all jurisdictions on each team.
The eight teams will be pre-set for Q1, with each of the eight teams having an approximately equal aggregate intake goal. We will conduct similar team-based, bracket-style, intake-based competitive incentives in Q2, Q3 and Q4 as well. Teams will be re-set at the beginning of each quarter, using various selection methods.
NOTE: For the above competitive incentives, the winning team must have a minimum intake of 510 for the month in order to earn the incentive award for that month. If aggregate team intake is less than 510, the team will still win and advance to the next round but will be ineligible for the prize.
ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES FOR JURISDICTIONS
Beginning July 1, a jurisdiction will receive a 1-member reduction in the Circle of Honor Intake goal for every 10 members who join the Order online. No rounding. Ten new online members means a COH Intake Goal reduction of 1. Nineteen new online members means a COH Intake Goal reduction of 1.
Twenty new online members means a COH Intake Goal reduction of 2.
Every jurisdiction who attains 50% or more of their original Circle of Honor Intake Goal by December 31, 2022 will receive a 5% reduction to their COH Intake goal. Again, no rounding. 49.99% of goal means no reduction. 50% of goal or more means a 5% goal reduction.
The member jurisdictions of the team with the highest intake from June 1 – June 30, 2023 will have choice seating at the 2022 Supreme Convention Business Sessions. Member jurisdictions will pick numbers to determine the seat selection sequence.
NOTE: For these incentives, the daily Circle of Honor report will be the official “book of record.”
QUARTERLY INCENTIVES FOR DISTRICT DEPUTIES
Every district deputy who attains 30% or better of his District Intake Goal by September 30, 70% or better of his District Intake Goal by December 31, 100% or more of his District Intake Goal by March 31, or attains the Star District Award will be able to select from a catalog of items from the KnightsGear store.
Every district deputy who qualifies for all four of the above incentives will be able to select from a catalog of higher-value items. In addition, the names of all qualifying district deputies will be entered in a drawing for a trip to the 2023 Supreme Convention for him and his wife, including travel, lodging and tickets to the States Dinner.
NEW HAVEN TRIP
The top five grand Knights and top five district deputies by percentage of intake goal attained (insurance jurisdictions) will win an all-expenses paid trip to New Haven to visit the Supreme Headquarters building, St. Mary’s Church and the Blessed Michael McGivney Pilgrimage Center. The trip will be for the GK/DD and their spouses, on a date TBD, likely in Autumn 2023.
